It’s been a while right?! Well, more than a while, it’s practically been an age – wow. But I’m back now, like properly not going anywhere unless I get whisked away on a white sand beach holiday back!
I don’t want to ramble on for hours (which isn’t hard for me let’s be honest), but I do have some storytelling to do, so you’ll want to sit somewhere comfy and cosy, because I don’t want you guys to be uncomfortable. So, this is a story all about how… hah I’m only kidding, I’ll leave the rapping to Will Smith.
The last time I wrote a blog post was all the way back in October, just before Halloween, and that is so weird to me because it feels like that was years ago! I went to India in November to get married to the love of my life (is that a bit soppy? soz). This wasn’t ‘an in the moment’ type of situation, it’d been planned for over a year, I was just kind of hush hush about it, because I wanted to do a Beyoncé and just surprise everyone.
I was in India for about 10 weeks, crazy I know, and I had the time of my life! I won’t sit here and write down every single detail, because then we’ll be here for 10 pages, and I’m starting to get pins and needles, ouch. So, I spent a few weeks before the wedding doing some shopping, even though I found my wedding outfit on the first day, omg I know. The most difficult part was deciding where to get my make up done, obviously, and let me tell you, that was a struggle! I had a few trials done, some were okay, and some… let me just say even 14 year old me could have done better, yeah, that bad.
But there was this one time that I just have to share with you guys, it was so bad. There was a salon in the main shopping area, and the guy that owned it was going on about how great their MUA was (he had some good selling skills, I’ll give him that). So my Mum suggested there was no harm in trying, oh how wrong she was. For a start, the foundation was just so off, I was peach coloured, but even worse was how heavily the MUA (if we can even call her that) covered my eyes in liner, I mean, it would have made Cleopatra jealous. After that nightmare, I decided to do the brave thing: my own wedding makeup. I thought, if Kate Middleton can, then so can I, and I think it turned out alright *wink face*
After the wedding, everything was just a whirlwind, it all went by super fast. From my dream honeymoon in the Maldives to some bumpy roadtrips in India, it all just feels like a dream. I’m not going to carry on for long now (nearly there). But I have to say, Sonu & I have known each other for a long time, and I never thought someone I knew could make me so happy. Everyone deserves to have someone in their life that makes them feel like there just isn’t anyone else in the world for them (it does happen, trust me). We’re super excited to start the next chapter together, and I just cannot wait.
I’m so happy to get back into writing posts again, I really missed it the last few months, but now I’m back… for good. Hope you guys had fun reading this little post (this was just a comeback post, I’m sure my upcoming posts won’t be so little) love you all!
