My Month In Beauty: Everyday Favourites

March has been an amazing month. Spring is finally here, and I’ve fallen in love with so many new (and old) beauty products. The Avené Hydrance Optimale Moisturiser has been a life saver for me this month. It’s an old skincare favourite of mine, and I love it. It’s really gentle and super light, which is perfect for sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin, and you’re looking for some new products to try out, then I would highly recommend you check out the Avené skincare range.

I’ve spoken about the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Cashew in this post. It’s been one of my favourite foundations for a while, and I love mixing it in with my Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 220 for a medium to high coverage. I tend to use the Double Wear foundation on its own when I want a full coverage look because it’s really good at covering up blemishes/scarring that I have on my skin.

I’ve been obsessed with the L’Oreal False Lash Sculpt Mascara forever, because it gives me the most amazing volumised lashes. Which is why I decided to test out two other L’Oreal Mascaras. I picked up the Telescopic Mascara and the False Lash Flutter Midnight Mascara. I’ve heard bloggers/Youtubers/friends rave about both these mascaras and I can see why, they’re amazing. I love using the Telescopic mascara for daytime/casual wear because it makes my lashes look more defined. The Midnight mascara makes my lashes look so fluttery (so it does exactly what it says) and wispy which I love. I really think you need different mascaras for different looks; sometimes you want to be bold, and sometimes you just want something more natural.

Since brows became a thing, I’ve tried and tested many brow setting products. I ran out of my trusty NYX Makeup Control Freak Eyebrow Gel, so I decided to try out something different. I picked up the Max Factor Universal Brow Styler. It’s a pretty good brow gel, it sets my brows well, and I don’t get a goopy feeling like with some other products I’ve used. But it doesn’t have as strong a hold that I would like. So, I don’t think it’ll be replacing my love for the NYX brow gel anytime soon. Sorry Max Factor.

Is it just me or does anyone else just love buying new lipsticks for each season? Yeah, I think a lot of us like to do this (kinda wishing there were more seasons, right?) My No7 Lipstick in Deep Rust has been my go to lip colour this month. It’s a gorgeous burnt orange shade which I love, and I find myself reaching for it all the time. But just because it’s Spring, doesn’t mean you can’t rock a nude lip. My current faves are MAC Velvet Teddy (I usually mix this with another colour), and Maybelline Color Sensational in Nude Embrace. I’ve also been loving the L’Oreal Colour Riche in Beige A Nu.

Another product I already talked about and still can’t get enough of is the Freedom Pro Blush Palette in Bronze Baked. It is seriously, an amazing palette, and I’m on my third one now, because I love it so much. I forgot to take it with me to India for my wedding, and I was devastated (like when you’re fave white top gets an irremovable stain on it devastated). The blush colours in this palette are insane. They’re so pretty and pink. I love using the shimmery pink shade on my cheeks for a subtle glow. But the highlighters are what stole my heart when I first bought this palette. There’s a bronze highlighter that I love using for a golden glow, and a pearly one that I use on the tops of my cheeks (and cupid’s bow, bridge of my nose and brow bone) for a more iridescent look.

I’d love to know what you’ve been loving this month, because it gives me an excuse to try more things out. Not that I need an excuse. If you liked reading this post, then please give it a like, and if you really like my blog then maybe give me a follow? *winks suggestively* Much love to you all.
