Laura Geller or Naked 3? Or maybe some highlight? This is the trouble I have of owning too many eyeshadow palettes/products – I can never decide which ones to use. What a nice problem to have though. I see a palette/shimmering product, and I’m instantly attracted to it. Even if I already own 15 other gold single shadows, I will most likely buy more, because they’re never the same are they?
Everyone who knows me (and maybe even those of you who don’t), will know that I love a good wing. It’s not something that I learnt overnight, I sometimes still struggle to get both sides to match up. If you know, you know. Having a steady hand and a pinch of patience, really helps getting that wing on point, but the right product will 100% have everybody asking what you use. I love doing my eyeliner with a pen, and my current favourite is the L’Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim and I love it. It’s super easy to use, and because it’s so slim, it’s really easy to create the shape that you want. If I want more of a thick wing, I use the Too Faced Sketch Marker Liner which is a tiny bit thicker than the L’Oreal liner, but just as easy to use. I usually create the shape that I want with the pens, and then follow up with the Maybelline Master Ink Eyeliner in Matte. This eyeliner is really precise, and I can slowly build up my wing to how I want it, rather than it being all over the place. Buy the right product, and you will have a wing that will slay everyday.
I didn’t know how incomplete my makeup collection was until I bought the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. My bestie has all of the Naked palettes, and I just couldn’t resist buying one for myself and trying it out. I totally get the hype. This palette has some of the most beautiful rose gold colours in it, and I’ve created so many pretty looks with these shades. I like to apply these shadows with my finger or a damp brush to get better pigmentation. I really want to get my hands on the Naked Ultimate Basics 12 Palette, it looks amazing.
You’ve seen me rave about the L’Oreal Infallible Blush Paint Palette in this post, and how much I love using these blushers to create some beautiful eye looks. Especially with the orange shade. The pigmentation of these blushers is out of this world, they look so nice on the eyes. Having used this palette, I decided I wanted more orangey/copper eyeshadows, so I bought the NYX Colour Riot Shadow Palette. I have to say, I am super impressed with this mini palette, the colours are so pretty. The mahogany shade is so beautiful and looks so nice as a transition/crease shade.
I’ve spoken about my favourite highlighters and how much I love them in this post, and now I also have to say, I love using highlight on my eyes. I created this super pretty eye look with my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Eternal Gold as the base colour, and then applied the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey on top to really glow things up. I like creating a halo eye and using the highlight in the centre so it stand outs more. I like using the Colour Tattoo as a base to make sure the highlight won’t crease and that it lasts longer.
Another one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes is the Laura Geller Delectables Delicious Shades of Nude Palette. I’ve spoken about how much I love this palette in my first impressions post and I have to say that I’m still just as impressed as I was when I first bought it. It does take some time to build up the colour of these eyeshadows, but they are long lasting. I tend to use a damp brush to get a stronger colour. This palette has a good variety of copper/brown shades, which you know I love, so you can create some super pretty eye looks.
There’s a lot of other products that I love using on my eyes, but if I were to talk about them all, we’d be here a while. What are you favourite palettes/highlights? Let me know down in the comments below.
